A Winfield man originally charged with six counts of rape has pleaded guilty to a single count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child.
The remaining five charges were dismissed against 20-year-old Aaron Williard during a hearing June 20, according to Cowley County District Court records.
He is to be sentenced for the level 6 person felony conviction at 1:30 p.m. August 26. The penalty ranges from 17 to 46 months in prison and a possible fine of up to $100,000.
The original complaint alleged that Williard forcibly raped an adult woman in June 2006 and raped a girl under 14 years of age on five occasions in 2006. The victim was 15 when the complaint was filed.
