Candidates for city or school boards have only until noon Tuesday to file for office. A number have filed since noon Friday. Those waiting until Tuesday morning may encounter winter weather and slick roads.
Ark City and Winfield commission candidates must file with their city clerks. Other candidates must file with the county clerk at the courthouse in Winfield.
The general election is April 7.
