Bond is set at $1 million for Brown brothers

Bond has been set at $1 million for shooting suspects Aaron Brown and his brother Lee Brown, an Arkansas City district court spokesperson said Friday.

The two men made their first court appearances this morning and each faces a charge of attempted first degree murder. Ark City attorney Tim Showalter was appointed to represent 27-year-old Aaron Brown.

Winfield attorney Jennifer Passiglia will represent Lee Terrell Brown, 28. Both suspects are from Ark City.

Both men had their cases continued until March 5, when a preliminary hearing date will be set.

The Browns surrendered to police Wednesday after an early morning shooting at Rockridge Apartments. Tyrone Clay, is in critical condition in a Wichita hospital after being shot multiple times, according to reports from police.

Aaron "Big A" Brown was a victim in a shoot-out at the Jump Start on Main in Winfield in Oct. 2007.
