Quilters guild show is reset for this weekend

The Walnut Valley Quilters Guild quilt show will go on ? and has been rescheduled for this weekend, organizers said Tuesday. The show was set for last weekend but was canceled due to winter weather.

The show will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Winfield Middle School, 130 Viking Blvd. Lunch will be served, vendors will be on hand and more than 200 quilts will be on display.

The guild still intends to honor the charter members with a special section displaying their quilts. The Hoffman Challenge traveling exhibit: a quilt, doll, and clothing-accessory collection will be on display.

A drawing for the opportunity quilt, Snowflake, will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. You still have an opportunity to purchase a chance to win this award winning quilt as well as the opportunity to purchase a charity quilt.
