Graduation activities for seniors at Winfield High School will begin this weekend with a baccalaureate service and will wrap up a week later with commencement.
The baccalaureate service is set for 3 p.m Sunday at the high school auditorium and is sponsored by the Winfield Ministerial Alliance. Graduation is at 2 p.m. May 17 in Sonner Stadium on the campus of Southwestern College.
In case of inclement weather, commencement will be held in Ollie Thomas Gym at the high school. Admission to the indoor graduation ceremony would be by ticket only. Each senior is given 10 tickets for family and friends.
A live telecast will be provided in the high school auditorium and on local cable television Channel 20, regardless of the location of commencement.
Senior honors assembly will be held at 7:30 p.m. May 13 in the high school auditorium.
