Work on 85th Rd., more commonly known as Cowley 27, will require the around-the-clock closing of the road, Cowley County officials said Tuesday.
Originally, county road and bridge crews expected only to close the road ? from 192nd Rd. to 202nd Rd. – during the day. But plans changed and now that section of road is barricaded and off limits to traffic 24 hours a day as part of a maintenance project.
County officials expect to have a better idea Thursday on when the project will be complete and when the road will reopen.
