Sanderholm case to be on Extreme Forensics

Extreme Forensics ? a forensic science television series that airs on Investigation Discovery ? will film an episode on methods used to help crack the Jodi Sanderholm murder case, Jodi’s mother, Cindy Sanderholm said Friday.

A crew representing the show will be in Cowley County Aug. 3 to begin work on the episode. Cindy Sanderholm shared the news during NewsCow’s Friday Q&A, a live news blog.

She said the family has decided to approve such projects if they are done in a way that can educate and perhaps bring some "good" from Jodi’s death. Extreme Forensics’ new season begins in September but it’s not clear yet when the Sanderholm episode would air.

Justin Thurber was convicted of capital murder for Sanderholm’s Jan. 2007 disapperance and death. He was sentenced to death.

Cindy Sanderholm said Friday that she’d attempted to contact Thurber by letter following his conviction but was told Thurber would not be communicating with her.
