AC cops bust young drinkers; 1 hospitalized

One teenage girl was hospitalized and many others were cited during four separate underage drinking investigations in Arkansas City Saturday, police said.

Ashlee Marie Henning, 18, appeared heavily intoxicated and became unresponsive when police located her in the 500 block of E. Central. Officers called for an ambulance.

Henning was taken to a local hospital and later admitted for observation, according to police chief Sean Wallace. She was cited in connection with the case.

Two people with her at the time of the initial incident, John William Kimple IV, 19, and Brittany Nicole Anguiano, 19, were contacted at the hospital and also cited.

Wallace also provided information on three other underage drinking incidents the same night:

– Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of N. Seventh for a report of loud music. When they arrived, a number of individuals fled the front yard of a home. As police approached the back of the home, others fled through a backdoor and ran south down an alley.

Those who ran were located and after an investigation five people were cited for minor in consumption of alcohol. The people arrested included two 17-year-old males from Ark City, Edgar Robles, 18, Autumn Sheree Morris, 20, and Kayla Matoya Walker, 19, all of Ark City.

Walker and Morris were also cited for hosting an alcohol party for minors.

-Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of S. Summit to investigate a report of an intoxicated person. A 17-year-old male from Ark City was cited for minor in consumption.

-Around 2:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 500 block of N. Fourth for a report of loud music. Upon arrival, police spoke with Richard Godfrey, Winfield, who police said had consumed three Bud Light beers on the front porch. Godfrey, Amanda Sultz, 19, and Derrick Fulton, 18, both of Ark City, were all cited in for minor in consumption in connection with the incident.
