Annual CCL book fair is this week in Winfield

New books and other items will be available at discounted prices Nov.12-13 at Creative Community Living’s annual book fair.

Everyone is invited to attend the event in Meyer Hall, 1500 E. Eighth, at Baden Square in Winfield. Hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday. Take the elevator or stairs to the second floor.

Cookbooks, holiday books, children’s books, history books and more will be offered. A diverse assortment of Christmas items, cards, educational toys, gifts for all ages and decorative pieces will also be for sale.

Buxton bags and Strap Perfect, as seen on TV, will be available. For football fanatics, there will be an NFL coffee table book and a game called Executive Football.

All are new, high-quality items offered at discounted prices of up to 70 percent off the suggested retail price. Most cost from $7.00 to $12.00. All are offered through Books Are Fun, which expanded earlier this year to include the former Imagination Books company.

A garage sale will be taking place at the same time on the lower level of Meyer Hall. Kitchen items, clothing, holiday decorations and lots of other odds and ends will be for sale.

All money raised will be added to CCL’s 2010 camp fund.
