Police in Winfield are investigating more than a dozen acts of vandalism that apparently occurred late Monday or early Tuesday, chief Danny Parker said.

A number of local residents reported that a person or people broke out windows on cars in areas throughout the city. Total damage is likely to amount to thousands of dollars and appears to be caused by a BB gun.

"We think they used a BB gun for most of it, we don’t know that for sure," Parker said. "But there was damage all over town. We have at least 20 cases. The damage was all across town."

Police are continuing an investigation into the damage, if you were a victim of damage or have information about the case, call 221-5555.
