It’s official: Falletti is named eco devo director

Kerri Falletti will be the new economic development director at Cowley First, the group’s coordinating council announced Monday. She replaces Heidi Hill, who resigned earlier this year after being placed on administrative leave.

NewsCow first reported Friday that Falletti had been offered and accepted the position. She will start her new job Feb. 1.

Falletti is returning to Cowley First ? she worked for five years at the organization under various directors ? after a brief stint as consultant with the Kansas Small Business Development Cowley College Outreach Center. She took the newly-created position in May and will stay until February to allow time for her replacement to be hired.

"I believe it is important to keep the momentum of this new center moving forward," Falletti said.

Falletti’s salary as Cowley First director will be $50,600 per year.

Tara Duncan has hired as Cowley First’s new administrative assistant. She has a Master in Business Administration from Southwestern and was most recently an account executive at MMG Worldwide in Kansas City.

She will earn $30,400.
