Woman accused of attack with whiskey bottle

Authorities have arrested a woman accused of cutting a man with a broken whiskey bottle during a weekend incident in Ark City.

Tiffany Falkenberg was located in Wellington and arrested by police there. She was later transferred into the custody of Ark City police who transported the woman to the Cowley County Jail.

She faces charges that include aggravated battery and criminal restraint.
Falkenberg is accused of an attack that occurred Saturday in the 500 block of E. Vine in Ark City.

A man told police he was using the bathroom at a residence when Falkenberg entered, according to a written report from Ark City police chief Sean Wallace.

The woman locked the door, broke a whiskey bottle on the sink and began to attakck the man, whose name has not been released by police. He told police he suffered a serious cut to his upper arm as he blocked a blow aimed for his head.

The man went to the hospital and received 24 stitches on the inside of his arm and 29 on the outside, according to the report.
