Evidence of drug use found in search of home

Drug charges are expected in connection with a search of an Ark City home that turned up evidence of meth and pot use.

Officers went to 112 E. Monroe Ave. after receiving a tip in regard to drug sales going on at the residence. A search warrant turned up drug-use related items and some stolen property, according to a statement from police chief Sean Wallace.

So far, no arrests have been made, however charges are pending.

Items of evidence will be sent to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation for analysis.

The search occurred just before 9 p.m. and the Cowley County Sheriff’s Dept. and Kansas Highway Patrol assisted.
