One person was hospitalized Sunday night in a rollover accident on the U.S. 77 bypass in Ark City.
The injured person – who has not yet been named – required a trip to the hospital following the accident, which happened around 7 p.m. But an Ark City police officer at the scene said the person was talking and conscious before being loaded in an ambulance.
Injuries were not life threatening, the officer said.
Police responded to the intersection of the U.S. 77 bypass and Madison to find an overturned Jeep SUV in the south bound lane of the highway. A person was found to be trapped in the vehicle and emergency crews used extrication tools to free them.
Details of the accident and how it occurred were not immediately available.
