Theft of $11K in jewelry is crime of the month

More than $11,000 in jewelry was stolen from a home in Parkerfield last fall and Cowley County Crime Stoppers is seeking your help in finding those responsible.

The incident occurred some time between Oct. 12 and Oct. 30 at a residence in the 29000 block of 91st Rd. Someone kicked in a backdoor to the garage and entered the home.

Jewelry was removed from a nightstand and a dresser.

Items taken included: a ladies Hamilton wristwatch with 36 1-carat diamonds; a Jostens brand mens Ark City High School gold class ring with the initials ETC, Jostens brand ladies Winfield High School white gold class ring with the initials AH, a one-third carat diamond solitaire engagement ring with a yellow gold band and white gold prongs, a ladies wedding ring set with six rubies and one diamond, a #1 mom necklace gold chain and antique silver necklace with matching pink flower earrings.

The Cowley County Sheriff’s office is asking for assistance from anyone who may have information about this crime.

Crime Stoppers is offering $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or people responsible for the crimes.
