A suspect ? who witnesses mistakenly believed was an Arkansas City police officer in uniform ? has been arrested and faces theft charges in connection with an incident at a Salvation Army store.
Bobby Lee Raida, 25, was wearing a security guard’s uniform when he is said to have removed some property from the thrift store at 318 N. Summit. Initial reports indicated the suspect was a local police officer.
But an investigation Monday led to an interview with Raida, who is a security guard at an area business. Following the investigation Raid was arrested and later released on a cash bond.
Formal charges are pending.
