3 trailers in rural Winfield burn down on Wed.

Three vacant mobile homes in rural Cowley County burned to the ground as local fire crews looked on late Wednesday night.

A cause of the fire is under investigation and little information is known about how the blaze began. The trailers are owned by Connie Andes of Winfield.

Because they were vacant and burning rapidly, a decision was made to let the structures burn.

Andes, according to a KSOK Radio reporter, said the homes had no gas or power running to them. No one was currently renting the homes which are set on property near the intersection of 151st Rd. and 202nd Rd southeast of Winfield.

We’ll let you know more as it is available. KSOK’s Shawn Wheat contributed to this story.
