Several candidates have filed for a number of local positions that will be open during elections in April. The deadline for filing is Tuesday at noon.
In Winfield, former city commissioner Mike Ledy is back for a try at a seat on the three-member panel. Ledy was defeated in a reelection bid in 2009.
Webster Roth has also filed to run. Phil Jarvis and Tom McNeish both have terms that are expiring this year but neither has filed for reelection thus far.
In Ark City, Jean Snell has filed for reelection. Joel D. Hockenbury, who has previously served on the five-member commission, is back hoping to grab a seat. Chad Giles and Ronald E. Hirst have also filed.
Jamie Kaiser and Blaine Kohpay have filed to run for school board in Winfield.
Mike Munson, Jon W. Oak and Thomas W. Stalnaker are running for school board in Ark City.
