Pot, stolen property lead to four arrests in AC

The smell of burnt weed led police in Ark City to drugs and some stolen property Sunday, according to a report.

Officers were at 1405 S. Second around noon to conduct follow up on another investigation when they smelled marijuana coming from inside the home. A search warrant executed at the home led police to marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Police also found stolen property that was eventually found to be the result of a burglary on Dec. 6. The property was returned to its rightful owner, according to the report.

As a result of the investigation, four people were arrested and face charges:

Jolene Lieb,27 of Ark City, was arrested on possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia charges and was released on a $400 bond.

Robert Patton, 22, of Ponca City was arrested on possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia charges and was released on a $400 bond.

Tyson Rakestraw, 33, of Ark City was arrested for possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property, burglary and theft. He is currently in custody at the Cowley County Jail, his bond is set at $9,000.

David Sauer who was already at the Cowley County Jail on other charges was arrested for burglary and theft. His bond was raised an additional $5,000.
