An Emporia man was arrested at the Winfield City Lake early Friday morning for threatening people with a knife, according to Winfield Police Chief Jerry DeVore.
Brian Solis was near Stage 7 at the portion of the Walnut Valley Festival being held at the lake. Witnesses helped police locate Solis who had an open knife.
Solis ran from police but was caught after a short foot chase. He was transported to the Cowley County Jail and booked on four counts of aggravated assault, two counts of battery, felony obstruction. possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and on an outstanding warrant from Chase County.
