Outgoing USD 465 Board of Education member Lyle Weinert will be honored with a reception Monday in the upstairs conference room at Medley Administration Center, 1407 Wheat Road.
Weinert has served on the Board since 2005.
The reception is open to the public and will be from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. prior to the regular board meeting. Cookies and punch will be served.
Weinert holds a Bachelor’s degree from Southwestern College and an MBA from Baylor University. He was a faculty member at Southwestern for nine years and is now in full-time practice as a certified public accountant.
He has been active as a community volunteer including extensive service with the Winfield Youth Soccer Organization.
He and his wife Sara have four sons, all students or graduates of Winfield Public Schools.
