Cowley First director Heidi Hill has been on paid administrative leave since the beginning of the month and it’s uncertain when or if she will return to her post, sources told NewsCow.
Hill, who has been on the job since November, was placed on leave July 2 and her status is to be reviewed July 23, according to Cowley County administrator Leroy Alsup, Hill’s boss.
Attempts to reach Hill were not successful.
"Originally the date for her return was set at July 23, but that will be reviewed," Alsup said. "Beyond that, it’s a personnel issue, so I can’t say anything more."
Cowley County Attorney Chris Smith said he knew Hill had been placed on leave but referred all questions to Alsup. He did say that his office had not been asked to investigate any criminal allegations involving Cowley First or Hill.
