A man was arrested Sunday morning after Arkansas City police say he was observed driving erratically in the northern part of the city.
Around 11:16 a.m. police first received a report of a driver swerving and going off the road on U.S. 77 north of town. Officers got behind a green Toyota truck as it traveled south near the intersection of Summit and Skyline.
The driver, Eugene Comstock, struck a curb near Zeller Motors and was immediately stopped. He was arrested and is accused of driving under the influence of drugs.
He was taken to the Cowley County Jail for third offense and bond was set at $1,000.
