An Ark City man was arrested early Friday morning after police busted up an underage drinking party and found evidence of theft, according to a report from police.
Shawn A. Gaskill, 22, was arrested and faces charges of hosting an underage drinking party and theft. He bonded out.
Just after midnight, police were patrolling in the 500 block of N. D St. when they saw a juvenile female walking in the area. When an officer tried to make contact with the girl, she ran from him.
When the girl was located, she was determined to have been drinking and through further investigation, police ended up at home in the 600 block of N. D. St. At about the same time a tip was called into Crime Stoppers reporting the same party.
Those inside the home would not answer the door which led to police acquiring a search warrant. The warrant was obtained just after 2 a.m. Police found evidence of the party and evidence of a theft that had occurred.
In addition to Gaskill, the following people were cited for minor in consumption of alcohol and then released:
Stephen N. Horsch, 19, Newton, Daniel J. Gurtierrez, 18, Ark City, William A. Jaire, 18, Ark City, Brittany A. Gibbs, 18, Ark City, Kyle R. Nelson, 20, Ark City, and a female juvenile, 17.
