Tag light stop leads to meth arrest on Wed.

Danny Morris should’ve made sure the tag light on his vehicle was working.

Around 3 a.m. Wednesday, Morris, 29, was pulled over in the 1500 block of N. Summit for having a defective tag light. He was cited for no proof of insurance and an expired driver’s license, which are minor violations.

But further investigation found Morris had an outstanding warrant through Cowley County District Court, according to a report from the Cowley County Sheriff’s Dept. Morris was arrested on methamphetamine possession and drug paraphernalia possession charges as a result of the warrant.

Morris’ bond was set at $5,000 and he was able to bond out this morning, according to a jail spokesperson.
