National Guard Band performing Friday in AC

The Kansas Army National Guard Band will perform Friday in Ark City.

The free concert is set for 7 p.m. at Wilson Park. It is open to the public.

The Band of the Kansas National Guard has performed extensively throughout the Midwestern United States and traveled as musical ambassadors for the U.S. State Dept. on three international tours.

The Band, headquartered in Olathe, is composed of 60 citizen-soldier musicians from Kansas and Missouri. Each year the Band performs for over 50,000 people as a marching or concert band, as well as jazz, rock, vocal or classical ensembles.
